Aromatherapy & Herbalism

Aromatherapy Massage soothes and relaxes, stimulates and revitalises depending on the essential oils chosen. Legs, Arms, Stomach, Back, Neck and Shoulders are given massage. This can be preceded by a shorter Indian Head Massage.  Effleurage, petrissage, tapotement and friction are used to stimulate the circulation and remove toxins, soften muscles and move calcium deposits.  The aim is a greater feeling of well being.  This is not sports injury massage which would need medical advice and  a further level of specialism.

Herbalism is a fascinating study of healing and life-supporting plants.  By using herbs in different ways, the body can be supported and kept in balance, therefore preventing the imbalances that lead to illness and disease.  Infusions drunk as tisanes, and infusions, decoctions and macerations added to body creams, lotions, shampoos, and bath foams all help this process.  .
